• Chafing and rubbing when you are wearing the bra
• Red marks and imprints when you take the bra off

• Measure the band size required by using a tape measure to measure across the top of your breasts, and also under your arms. You should then round off the figure to the nearest even number to get the correct number of inches.
• Measure just underneath your breasts with a tape measure and then add five inches to the figure you get. This should come to around the same as the first measurement you took and is a way of double checking your band size.
• Take a loose measurement around the fullest part of your breast using a tape measure. Once you have the measurement subtract your band size and use the remaining number to work out the cup size. The numbers that correspond with the various cup sizes are as follows: 0: AA; 1: A; 2: B; 3: C; 4: D; 5: DD.
• If you try on a bra based on your measurements and you experience discomfort of any sort, try a slightly bigger/smaller cup depending on whether the fit is too small or too large. In some cases the difference can be minimal in terms of the size of the bra but can make quite a difference to the comfort and support factor.
• Remember that your breast size can change, for instance, when you are pregnant you will need to look for an appropriately sized maternity bra and after birth you may want to try one of the range of well fitting and comfortable nursing bras available.
